Black Oystercatcher




INTRODUCTION

I was texting with my friend Danilo T. about 20 minutes ago and he lives on Vancouver island. So i am going to write about a bird from Vancouver island and heres a shout out for Danilo's blog!!! Check it out!

RANGE

This bird ranges from the Aleutian islands all the along the pacific coast to Baja California.

HABITAT

These birds are found along rocky coasts of the pacific ocean at all seasons, especially on small offshore islands where predators are fewer.

DIET

Mostly mussels, limpets, and other shellfish. There isent much to say on this one

NESTING

They ALWAYS nest on islands in elevated area. both the mom and dad make the nest together. in the nest is mostly small sticks and pieces of shell.
